Michigan Republican Party Rejects Grassroots Challenge

What does the Credentials Committee of the Michigan Republican Party have in common with the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court?
Both make up rules as they go along to fit their agenda!
The Committee recently ruled that Party rules and parliamentary procedure can be ignored in order to promote an insider agenda. The GOP denied a request by Wes Nakagiri, a Tea Party activist, and Ron Sanderson to address violations of rules made during the 8th Congressional District Caucus.
The insiders violated both State Party rules and Parliamentary procedure to strip Nakagiri of voting rights at the upcoming Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. Using the same shenanigans, the Party also eliminated voting rights of Ron Sanderson, an alternate delegate.
In their written ruling, the Credentials Committee did not dispute any of the rules violations cited by Nakagiri/Sanderson. Sworn testimony was provided by Nakagiri and Sanderson in support of their position. This was supported by sworn testimony from the 8th District Chairman and the Livingston County Chair. Opposing positions provided by Shinkle and Mungioli were nothing more than their unsubstantiated personal assertions and opinions, unsupported by sworn testimony or corroborating witnesses.
The facts did not matter to the Committee! In "Roberts-like" fashion the Committee ignored the rules and made up reasons to support the insider's choice.
This State Party decision will be appealed to the Republican National Committee. Stay tuned for further updates.
